Announcing the Best of Balaji open-source project to summarize and organize the most important concepts of Balaji Srinivasan. Visit the site here: bestofbalaji.com.
Balaji Srinivasan is an engineer, investor, and futurist. He's a technological progressive set on using technology to build a better future.
The goal of this project is to get someone up to speed with Balaji's worldview as quickly as possible by organizing and summarizing the most foundational content that Balaji has discussed over the years.
This project was inspired Balaji's tweet:
The Why:
Because we believe that geographical proximity no longer means cultural proximity. We hope to aggregate these ideas in one place so that everyone can contribute and engage with like-minded people.
Content to Expect:
The concepts we highlight are specific to Balaji. We do not intent to include concepts that can learned through a simple Wikipedia search. For example, when discussing Bitcoin, bestofbalaji.com covers Balaji's view of Bitcoin as a flag of technology (not Bitcoin basics you can learn on YouTube).
As more people start engaging and contributing, we expect a richer palette of ideas of content.
Help Contribute:
We are welcoming summaries of major concepts through Github. If you're interested, follow this link to the Github Repository. We have added directions on how to contribute. If you need any help, follow the steps to join the discussion and tell us about it! Contributing should be as easy as possible, so we really want your feedback!
This project is a living document that will change and update based on new information and contributions from the community.
Join the Discussion:
Join the 1729ers Community on Discord organized by Chance Taken to discuss these ideas (Balaji related and beyond). We have a whole channel for this project, called #BoB!
